Parcel / customs-fee scam
A message says a parcel is waiting but you must pay a small “fee” by link to release it — the link steals your card details.

How it works
- You get an SMS/email about a package “on hold” at customs or the courier.
- It asks for a small fee (a few euros) via a link to release delivery.
- The payment page captures your card details for bigger theft.
Red flags
- A small, urgent fee to release a delivery you may not be expecting.
- A link instead of the courier's official tracking site.
- Pressure to pay “today” to avoid the parcel being returned.
What to do
- Track the parcel only on the courier's official site or app.
- Check the sender and whether you actually ordered anything.
- Ask the seller/courier directly through official contacts.
What NOT to do
- Do not pay a fee through a link in the message.
- Do not enter card details on the page the link opens.
