Job / reshipping scam
A “job” pays a lot for little work but asks for an up-front fee, or uses you to move money or parcels (which is illegal).
Informational only — not legal or financial advice.
How it works
- You get an easy, well-paid offer — often work-from-home, no interview.
- They ask for an up-front fee for “training,” “equipment,” or “checks.”
- Or they ask you to receive/forward money or parcels — making you a money/parcel mule.
Red flags
- Pay that's too high for the work, and no real interview.
- Any fee you must pay to start.
- Asked to use your own bank account or receive parcels for the company.
What to do
- Verify the employer via its official website and public registration.
- Search the company name with the word “scam.”
- Be cautious of any role that moves money or goods through you.
What NOT to do
- Do not pay to get a job.
- Do not receive or forward money or parcels for a “job.”
