Slow down high-pressure requests
If a message asks you to act urgently, pay now, share a code, sign quickly, move to another chat, or keep something secret, pause. Use MyRep to prepare questions and verification steps before responding.
Verify outside the message
- Use official websites, known phone numbers, secure portals, or existing apps you find yourself.
- Do not rely only on links, numbers, QR codes, or attachments inside the suspicious message.
- Confirm payment recipient, IBAN, invoice number, amount, deadline, and contract terms through an independent source.
- For medical, legal, government, immigration, banking, or employment consequences, contact a qualified or official source.
Do not share secrets
Never share passwords, one-time codes, card details, private keys, recovery phrases, bank login data, government credentials, or full identity documents unless you have independently confirmed the official process.
Use drafts carefully
MyRep drafts are preparation material. Read and edit them before sending. Remove private details you do not need to share. If the situation remains unclear, do not send the draft yet.
Escalate when needed
For high-risk cases, ask a trusted person, qualified professional, bank, clinic, government office, consumer-rights organization, or emergency service. MyRep can prepare a safety pack, but it cannot replace real-world help.
